United States - December 27th, 2007: Specialists are alarmed with the current trend of casual sex and oral sex among adolescents, ages ranging from 14 to 16 or even younger. Most of them agree that is a question of education.

The media send to kids thousands of messages that sex should be fun and casual, so it’s becoming a trend in middle schools. Kids are having sex only for fun, researches point out.

Specialists are trying to use a somewhat critical strategy of sex education in order to try controlling the situation. They are encouraging masturbation among adolescents, even if it’s mutual masturbation. They claim that if it was possible to convince kids that masturbation is the safer sexual practice among all, at least they would be avoiding more immediate consequences, such as sexually transmitted diseases infections through oral sex or other forms of unprotected sex. Some people are comparing this attitude to giving syringes to drug addicts. A method that proved to be effective yet controversial, in some places.
